They’ve all helped Si-am enormously, donating services, goods, expertise and money to help Si-am in his mission to cross Australia by bike and raise £100,000 for charity. Please support the people who supported us. Take a look at what they could do for you. If they’re half as helpful to their customers as they have been to us, you’ll be getting great service!

At Bear Rentals we love adventure but we hate hassle – so every Land Rover Defender 4WD Campervan that you hire comes with all the necessities you need (fridge, stove, pots & pans, cutlery & crockery, as well as bedding and towels) so all you need to do is bring your sense of adventure and some food, jump in and hit the road and see this amazing country. Think of everything you need for your dream Australian adventure – That’s What We Do!
We at Bear are all in favour of getting off the beaten path – we have kitted out all of our 4WD campervans with the intention of seeing more of Australia than just the freeway between Sydney and Cairns – you can explore places that most travellers don’t even know exist! We want you to get out there and see the real Australia – we love the iconic spots like Byron Bay and Uluru; these you can get to with an ordinary campervan – but if you are like us and want to explore the wonders of the Southern Lost City or Mitchell’s Plateau a Land Rover Defender 4WD campervan is the way to go!

Malcolm’s grandfather Percy founded the Barnecutt ‘dynasty’ in 1930, where it all began with a bakery in Liskeard. The main bakery moved to Egloshayle Road, Wadebridge in the late 50s before moving to Polmorla Road, which is where Malcolm learnt his trade under the expertise of his dad. Malcolm left Polmorla Bakery in 1983 and planned a new bakery at Carminnow Industrial Estate, Bodmin. On the 4th of July 1983, their first shop at the Old Guild Hall, Bodmin began trading. The fine frontage and bakers shop hides an extensive room at the rear, which was once the council chambers, but now is a very pleasant restaurant, fondly known as ‘Barnys’. Malcolm’s son, James, has now taken control of the business and aims to maintain the high standards of quality set by his father and also maintaining and building on the security for its 200 hard working staff, all of whom contribute to making the “Malcolm Barnecutt Bakery” the success it is today.
Flying Fish has been supplying the best seafood in the British Isles to the UK’s best chefs since 2006. But our founder, John Godden, has been in the business for nearly two decades (longer if you count his first business collecting, cleaning and selling Cuttlefish to pet shops at the young age of 16).
Thanks to hard work and hard-won expertise, we have grown from a one-man band into the company we are today. Now we serve hundreds of incredible customers, including many Michelin-starred chefs and restaurants.
Over the last ten years plenty of people have advised us to diversify into other foods but we’ve stuck to what we’re good at and grown our business by improving all we do.
We’ve recently been invited to join the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts and we’re well on our way to being accredited by SALSA as well. Stamps of approval such as these are fantastic but it’s the kind words of our customers that makes all the years of hard work and obsessing over every detail worth it.
